Week ending 26 January 2021
Hi there and welcome to the first Favourite Finds for 2021! I gave myself a few weeks off over the holidays, but I’m back at the desk now. The good thing about time off though was I got to really get stuck into the reading, so I have some new reviews coming to share with you.
It’s January 26th today, which is Australia Day, a national public holiday. In honour of the day, I had a meat pie and sausage roll for tea tonight, with a lamington for sweets. Yummo!! And I might treat myself to a Freddo Frog later, just because I can.
If any of you are wondering what in the world I’m talking about, let me know in the comments and I’ll let you know what you’re missing out on 😉
I’d love to know what you think, so be sure to leave a comment below!

Chasing Frost, by Isabel Jolie, was an entertaining book to read. It kept up a really good pace and it was unusual enough to grab my attention. I say unusual, because although it is written from the alternating points of view of the two main characters – Chase and Sydney – I feel as if I got a much closer look at the inner workings of Chase than I would usually get of the main male character. And I really enjoyed that aspect of the story. Read more...

Deep Woods by Helena Newbury
Review by Nancy Reads – Nancy Parken
The last line of the review for this standalone romantic suspense is the one that sold me on it – “Cal was a wonderful hero, but my favorite hero was the dog Rufus.”
How can you go past a book where the dog is the hero?!
